Keith Acton has always called Stouffville home. He currently lives here with his wife Sonja, and he raised four children in this community.

He spent 15 seasons in the National Hockey League, winning a Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers in 1987-88, and played three times for Canada. Then he came home. Keith has owned the Boston Pizza on Hoover Park Drive for 20 years, where you can see him most days managing between 50 and 60 employees in the day-to-day operations of his family business.

Over the past few decades Keith has been a committed community leader, hosting celebrity charity events raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local community initiatives and Markham Stouffville Hospital. A plaque in his name hangs in the Stouffville Arena lobby.

Keith was elected Ward 3 Councillor in 2022. Four years on, he is asking residents for a second term. The last term was about getting a plan in place. The next one is about delivering it, and no matter where life took Keith, his roots have always remained deep in this community.
